Aaron's award is for his role as Basil the photographer in Matthew Bourne's highly acclaimed new piece, The Picture of Dorian Gray. Aaron appears with two other Bird's graduates in the show. | Rachel is the new Eva Peron! Bird's Graduate rachel Wooding is now about to play the lead role of Eva peron in the new UK Tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber's highly acclaimed 'Evita'. Rachel has recently finished a successful run of 'Hairspray in the West End as Amber von Tussle and prior to that played 'Meat' in the London cast of We Will Rock You. | Lead Role Graduate Lara Pulver is currently appearing as the lead role of Isabella in BBC1’s highly successful Robin Hood. Although this is her first TV role she is no stranger to leading roles having recently been nominated for an Olivier Award for her portrayal of Lucille in the West End production of ‘Parade’. for Borough of Bexley Bird College is delighted to announce that they have been successful in their bid to deliver the music services in the Borough of Bexley, with music provision under the directorship of Andrew Chatburn. In addition to peripatetic teachers and group conductors, Bird College wishes to engage and employ Licensed Teachers to deliver individual instrumental and vocal tuition. This fits with Bird College’s current practice and will put all newly engaged staff on the same terms and conditions of employment as those enjoyed by the College’s current employees. The new service will be formally launched on Monday 29th October and student registration for individual licensed teaching, group membership, and ABRSM/Trinity Guildhall exams begins17th September at 27 Station Road, Sidcup. The timetable for set-up is ambitious and we are now recruiting both peripatetic and licensed teachers for all disciplines alongside leaders and conductors for our orchestras, bands, choirs and small ensembles. The hourly rate of pay for peripatetic and licensed teaching will be up to £26 per hour; for group conductors/leaders, it will start at £30 per hour.
